Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. About us and these terms
These terms apply to services provided by Vaydor Jarvis, trading as Vaydor Jarvis Landscaping & Garden Design, a self-employed sole trader based at 4 Ger-Y-Bont, Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, CF44 9EG, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at vaydor_jarvis@outlook.com or 07828 747303.
They apply whether you order online, by email, by phone or in person. If your written quotation includes specific terms, those take priority where they differ from these terms. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
2. Our services
We offer two kinds of service, and each service on our website is labelled accordingly:
- Design services — consultations, planting schemes, garden plans and design packages. These provide design and planning only. Installation, plants, materials and specialist work are not included unless your quotation says so.
- On-site garden work — makeovers, planting, lawn improvement and seasonal refreshes carried out at your property. Materials, plants and additional labour are quoted separately where applicable.
The scope of each service is set out in the service description and confirmed in your quotation.
3. Prices and quotations
Prices shown on our website are indicative starting prices in pounds sterling. The final price depends on garden size, design complexity, materials, labour and the services requested.
Before work begins, we provide a written quotation setting out the scope, price and payment terms. Unless it states otherwise, a quotation is valid for 30 days. The price in your quotation is the total price you will pay for the work described, including any VAT that applies. Any additional work or costs will be discussed and agreed with you before they are incurred.
4. Ordering and payment
When you accept a quotation, or pay for a service through our online checkout, a contract is formed between you and us.
Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Other payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are agreed in advance and set out in your quotation.
If, after you pay online, we find we cannot provide the service — for example because your property is outside our working area — we will tell you promptly and refund you in full.
5. Your responsibilities
So that we can carry out the work safely and as agreed, you agree to:
- give us accurate information about your property, garden and requirements;
- provide safe and reasonable access to the garden on the agreed dates, and tell us about pets, hazards or restrictions;
- tell us about any buried services, cables, pipes, drains or septic tanks you know of;
- make sure you own or have permission to change the land, and obtain any consents needed — for example from a landlord, management company or the local planning authority, including for protected trees or conservation areas;
- look after plants and lawns once our work is complete, following any care advice we give.
6. Our responsibilities
We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill, as described in the service description and your quotation, and within a reasonable time or on the dates agreed. If we cannot meet an agreed date, we will tell you as soon as possible and agree a new one.
7. Timings and weather
Timings given on our website and in quotations are estimates. On-site work depends on the weather and ground conditions; heavy rain, frost or waterlogged ground may mean rescheduling to protect your garden and keep everyone safe. We will agree any new dates with you.
8. Changes to the work
If you would like to change the scope of a service after ordering, or if we discover something that affects the work, we will discuss it with you and confirm any change in price or timing in writing before going ahead.
9. Designs and plans
We own the copyright in the designs, plans and drawings we create. Once you have paid for a design in full, you may use it to create and maintain the garden at the property it was designed for, including sharing it with a contractor of your choice. Please ask us before using it for any other purpose.
10. Plants and natural materials
Plants and natural materials vary in size, colour and appearance, and their growth depends on weather, soil and aftercare. We choose and plant them with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for plants that fail because of drought, extreme weather, pests, disease, damage or lack of aftercare after our work is complete, unless the failure is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
11. Cancellation
Your right to cancel is explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
We may cancel a contract if you do not pay amounts due, or if we cannot safely access the garden, after giving you notice. If we cancel for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund any payment for work not carried out.
12. Our liability
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Business customers: if you order in the course of a business, we are not liable for loss of profit, business or revenue, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the price paid for the service concerned.
13. Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us at vaydor_jarvis@outlook.com or 07828 747303. We will try to resolve the matter quickly and fairly, and aim to respond within 14 days.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
