For most design services it's the natural first step, because it lets us understand the garden and how you use it. If you already know exactly what you need, tell us in your enquiry and we'll suggest the right starting point.

Photos of the garden, rough measurements, a few pictures of gardens you like, and a budget range are all helpful. So is a list of what you'd like to keep and what you'd happily lose.

We'll agree the format of your consultation when you get in touch, depending on the service and where you are.

No. They are indicative starting prices. The final price depends on garden size, design complexity, materials, labour and the services you choose. You'll receive a written quotation before any work begins.

Sending an enquiry or quote request is free and doesn't commit you to anything. If a paid consultation is the right next step, we'll tell you the price before booking it.

Any additional costs are discussed and agreed with you before work begins. If something unexpected comes up during a project, we'll talk to you before doing anything that changes the price.

Design services — consultations, planting schemes, garden plans and design packages — give you the plan only. On-site services — makeovers, planting, lawn improvement and seasonal refreshes — are physical work in your garden. Every service on this site is labelled one way or the other.

Smaller designs, such as a flower bed or planting scheme, usually take one to two weeks after the consultation. Full garden plans and larger design packages can take several weeks. Your quotation confirms the timing for your project.

Some services include hands-on work, such as makeovers, planting and lawn improvement. For installation that goes beyond these, we'll explain what can be quoted, and the quotation will set it out separately.

Yes. Heavy rain, frost or waterlogged ground can make work unsafe or harmful to the garden. If the weather gets in the way, we'll agree new dates with you.

Not usually. Prices cover the design or the work described for each service. Plants, materials and extra labour are quoted separately where they apply, so you can see exactly what you're paying for.

Plants are chosen to suit your garden's light, soil and conditions as well as your style and colour preferences. Like any living thing, they also need the right care once planted, and we'll talk about what that means for your garden.

Yes — tell us what you'd like to keep or reuse and we'll plan around it where it makes sense.

Payment terms are agreed in advance and written into your quotation. Where a service is available to book online, you can pay by card through our secure Stripe checkout.

If you're a consumer, you usually have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us to start within those 14 days, you'll pay for the work already carried out. The Refund & Cancellation Policy explains this in full.

Refunds are paid to the original payment method within 14 days of us being told you're cancelling.
